Please join Asian & Pacific Islander Family Pride to honor and celebrate
API families who proudly support their LGBT children / relatives / friends
in spite of the prejudice they encounter.
If you would like to recognize anyone, we will honor them at the banquet please contact us and let us know.
WHO MAY BE RECOGNIZED-- ANY parent, sibling, relative or friend who loves and accepts their API LGBT child/relative/friend in spite of the shame and isolation imposed by a homophobic society may be recognized. The person(s) may be living or deceased and may be of any race or ethnicity.
WHO CAN SUBMIT NAMES FOR RECOGNITION -- ANY LGBTAsian or Asian Pacific Islander, or any organization that has an LGBT Asian and Pacific Islander constituency.
RECOGNITION PROCESS:
*Written summary statement attesting
to the demonstrated love and acceptance by honoree(s) of an API GLBT
person by actions taken within the family or in the public (approx.
100 words).
*Name, address, contact info of submitting API GLBT person and relationship
to the honoree(s). Full name(s), address and contact information of
honoree(s).
*Photograph of honoree(s) suitable for publication; digital photo preferable.
